Your customers are asking AI where to rent equipment. Do you know what it tells them?
The Equipment Dealers Clarity Program is a fixed-price diagnostic built for Cat dealers: what your marketing is actually doing, what it means, and what to do about it. You own everything we produce, whatever you decide next.
The problem
You can't manage what arrives in three different doors
At a dealership, leads don't behave. They call the service line, they submit a form about a compact excavator, they walk into the parts counter. Equipment, parts, service, rental, power systems: every division defines a lead differently, every budget is approved separately, and the job of making it all add up usually lands on one marketing team the night before the executive meeting.
So the honest answer to "what is our media spend producing" becomes a shrug with a dashboard attached.
Meanwhile the questions have moved. Contractors now ask ChatGPT and Google's AI where to rent a machine, who services their engine, where to get parts today. Somebody is the answer in your territory. Most dealers have never checked whether it's them.
The diagnostic
The Clarity Diagnostic, Dealer Edition
A decision document, not an audit report. Three questions, answered in plain English, at company scale:
What is happening.
- Territory demand snapshot, division by division
- The AI-answer audit: dated screenshots of what ChatGPT and Google's AI say when a contractor asks the money questions in your territory
- Lead attribution reality check: whether calls, forms, and walk-ins are actually being counted, and what your spend is really producing
- A reconciliation of what left your budget, what reached the ad platforms, and what each division was told it had
What it means.
- Findings in plain English, sized by impact
- What is working (that stays in the document too)
- A competitive snapshot for your territory
What to do.
- A measurement framework your team keeps
- A two-quarter roadmap
- An executive readout your leadership can absorb in one sitting
Delivered in 3 to 4 weeks. We take on a limited number of diagnostics each month.
The price
One fixed price, stated up front
$8,500. Fixed price, fixed deliverables, no retainer attached. That covers three metros in your territory and three divisions traced from ad click to sales record. More metros are $500 each, more divisions $750, agreed before you sign.
A limited number of founding engagements are available at $5,000 in exchange for a documented case study. When they're gone, they're gone; we count engagements, not dates.
Half of what you paid credits toward a build engagement signed within about 60 days. And if the finding is "your setup is fine," the document says so.
What comes after
The diagnostic stands alone. The system compounds.
Most dealers use the diagnostic to decide what to do next, with us or without us. For those who continue:
Build. The dealer measurement and media system: calls, forms, and walk-ins unified into one view with division-level attribution, the executive rollup generated from live data instead of built by hand, campaigns restructured around how your dealership actually approves money. Every build ends with a handover: documentation, credentials, training.
Evolve. The ongoing engagement: a monthly intelligence cycle run with your team, optimization, quarterly planning with leadership, and a quarterly re-run of your diagnostic numbers so improvement is visible, not asserted.
Ownership
You own what we build
Accounts in your name. Data in your systems. Dashboards, documents, and credentials handed over, not held hostage. If we ever stop working together, everything keeps working and everything stays yours.
That is not a courtesy. It is the point. Marketing partners that own your infrastructure have a business model called dependency. We would rather earn the next engagement.
Who's behind this
The people you talk to are the people doing the work
Alive Method is a marketing and advertising company founded by two people who have spent their careers on opposite ends of the same problem: making marketing that people actually respond to. Our team has run paid media inside Caterpillar dealer accounts, across equipment, power systems, rental, and marine divisions. We know how division budgets get approved and how the season moves before the first call.
Submissions go directly to the founders. We read everything ourselves, so expect a reply from a human, not a sequence.
Questions
Questions dealers ask
What if we work with an agency already?
Most dealers we talk to do. The diagnostic is not a replacement pitch; it is an independent read on what is working. Some clients hand the finished document to their agency as the brief.
How is this different from an audit?
An audit tells you what's wrong and leaves. This is a decision document: what is happening, what it means, and a prioritized plan, plus a measurement framework your team keeps running long after we're gone.
Who sees our data?
Your data stays in your accounts, which stay in your name. We work inside them with access you grant and can revoke.
Are you affiliated with Caterpillar?
No. Alive Method is independent of Caterpillar Inc. We built this program for Cat dealerships because our team knows the category, not because anyone in Peoria asked us to.
